Manufacturing
Elmore Electric designs, builds, installs, and services a broad range of AC and DC voltage custom control panels and switchboards for the commercial marine industry. We are a UL508a certified panel shop and are inspected quarterly to ensure that our standard of work remains the best in the industry.
Our facility is set up for both cell-based and assembly line manufacturing and can handle both small and very large panels. The image to the left is a forced draft fan motor control panel, one of three each installed aboard several 900ft container ships for one of our customers.
Like many of our custom panels, this example incorporates the use of a programmable logic controller (PLC), which we code to function to our design and to our customer's requirements.
Certifications
Many of our customers' vessels are inspected and Classed by the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), Lloyds Register, Det Norske Veritas (DNV), International Registry of Ships (IRS), or other nation Classes in addition to the US Coast Guard. Whether we are adding new functionality or replacing existing equipment, we are frequently asked to certify our schematics and ultimately our manufactured panels to meet the standards to which the ship adheres.
Without fail, we achieve the needed certification, and our customers know that they have ABS, Lloyds, DNV, IRS, and the USCG standing beside Elmore Electric.
