Elmore Electric, based in Seattle, provides electrical products and services to the commercial marine industry. Our customers include owners and operators of fishing, crabbing, and processing ships, passenger vessels, expedition/adventure cruise ships, research and support vessels, towboats, US Navy & USCG ships, bulk carriers, and container ships. We also provide the same level of products and services to larger personal or charter boats.
Our teams are known for working hard, working quickly, and delivering top-notch quality and customer service. We are seeking skilled and experienced marine electricians for full time employment as team member and team lead electricians. Qualified candidates must be experienced in marine electrical installations with demonstrated success troubleshooting complex shipboard electrical systems, and will be asked to complete a Marine Electrical Knowledge Survey prior to being invited to interview.
Team lead candidates must have demonstrated experience leading teams on projects ranging from complete system and/or switchgear installations to processing lists of problems with shipboard systems quickly and within customer budgets. Scheduling of jobs and managing job materials, ensuring safety standards and practices are in place and effective customer communication are also key team lead position requirements.
While an electrical engineering degree is not required, electrical foundation knowledge and experience in power and control is strongly desired for our marine electrician positions and required for our leads.
Competitive pay, quarterly bonuses, company-paid health, vision, and dental plan, and paid time off are included. Overtime is available and expected, particularly during peak seasons.
Our projects frequently take teams to vessel locations across the US and also to international locations - a valid passport is required for overseas work opportunities. All candidates must be eligible to work in the US (citizenship, legal resident status, or appropriate work visa).
